Presentation
Chemical professions have changed and diversified as progresses of Science and innovation required more and more interdisciplinarity and team work. Not only have chemists their place in the traditional sectors of chemistry, petrochemical industry and materials but they also more and more contribute to research and development of industries linked to health, energy, food, cosmetics, environment, transport and housing.
Doctors in chemistry have become a major element in the relations between Science, the industry, Society and environment.

To make access to information on all aspects of the training and professional insertion of Doctors in chemistry, the Fondation de la Maison de la Chimie and the Union des Industries Chimiques (UIC) have joined their efforts with the Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche, to create this site, with the help of the existing Association Bernard Grégory (ABG). The site is fed by all the university and industry bodies part of the French chemistry community: Graduate Schools of Chemistry, learned societies, France Chemical Societies, Fédération Française pour les sciences de la Chimie (FFC), Engineer Schools (Fédération Gay Lussac), professional and industrial unions of chemical professions.
All kind of audiences, and in particular students at Master’s degree level, will find there useful information on the development, the PhD offers and their funding (refer to the "Preparing a PhD" tab), the training offers (refer to the "Graduate Schools" tab), executive careers as a Doctor in chemistry and the evolution of R&D both in the public and private sectors (refer to the "Employment" tab and "Companies" tab).
